Overly interactive neighbor or am I overreacting?

I apologize for the length of this yet wanted to provide enough detail so that your opinions could be formed to help me determine if I'm just overreacting or if the neighbor is crossing the line. Here goes: I have recently and only temporarily moved in to my boyfriends house and everything is fabulous, except for one of his neighbors. I have expressed feelings of discomfort to my boyfriend and while he agrees that his neighbor is crazy, he is too nice of a guy to really say anything. For the past 4 years my boyfriend has lived next door to a family of 4. There is a husband, wife, daughter and son. At some point the wife confided in my boyfriend that her husband is crazy and she and the kids are planning on moving out once the youngest, her son, graduates high school. Over time she continues to give him little nuggets of info about her crazy husband and periodically brings baked goods and bakes treats for our dogs, though her family has no pets. In the past six months she has brought over more than 50 name brand shirts from a designer outlet store for my boyfriend. Following her sons recent graduation her husband was out of town for a few nights. In his absence, she allowed her son to throw a big pool party, complete with underage drinking. At one point, close to midnight, she came over asking to borrow some ice and when my boyfriend explained he doesn't have an ice maker, we use trays, she asked to borrow a couple. When there was a possible threat of cops coming to her house to break up the party,she rounded up all the trash and put the cans next to our trashcans in front of his garage. The next day she sent my boyfriend a text and then stopped by to tell my boyfriend what was going on, and to give him another bag of polo shirts. He ensured her he wouldn't mention it to her husband and thanked her for the shirts. Although I am clearly home all day, she does not come over unless he is home. We have only had a few interchanges and she gave me a couple dresses, which I followed up with a thank you card and personal thanks. She seems to dart from her car to the front door when I'm around and it makes me wonder why she seems to avoid me and then comes over multiple times a day when my boyfriend is around. When we decided to leave some clothes we were going to donate on top of a shopping bag full of clothes she left at the front door, to try and send her the hint, she moved the bag so that it was directly in front of the door on the welcome mat and then took the bag from the new phone book that was on the step and hung it from the doorknob with a box of turnovers. I'm trying my best to ignore her and to maintain the neighborly relationship between my boyfriend and his neighbors but I can't help but feel uncomfortable by her constant gifts, unsolicited advice, unsolicited and detailed personal information, and frequent interruptions. We've tried to ignore her when she rings the bell but she just calls, texts or comes back later at all hours of night/day. When my boyfriend and I talk about it I feel terrible because he can't control her actions and yet I feel like something needs to be said or things will continue to be weird. He is under the impression that she's just crazy but harmless. I find it odd that a middle aged woman thinks discussing her marital issues with her twenty-something neighbor is acceptable. I can't help but shake the feeling that there are some deeper issues going on with this family and I'd rather they not involve myself or my boyfriend. I want to be respectful and ensure that the relationship with the neighbors remains friendly, and at the same time feel like this lady is overstepping her neighborly boundaries and taking advantage of my boyfriends kindness. Her most recent gifts include nutritional weight loss drinks, bars and supplements because she remembered his mother saying he was trying to slim down. She was also kind enough to drop off the dvd explaining the pyramid process and how he can supplement his income by selling the products. Im reaching my tolerance level...Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated!!

Wetsuit help for surfing! (Thickness?)?

Tough question and its really up to you, most surfers have at least a couple of wetsuits available to them for exactly this reason. What I might do since you said you get cold easily would be to get the 4/3. Then you can pick up a 2mm suit (long legs, t-shirt arms) for as little as $90 for the days when it just gets too warm. A 4/3 is fine up into the mid 60's with cool air, but when the days get hot and the water stays in the mid 60's or higher the 2mm should work pretty well. For me a 3/2 doesnt really cut it in the low 50's if the air is also really chilly. I would think that you would definitely want booties with the 3/2. I surf in New England and I was out in Cali (North LA County) last September and the water hit 57, I was glad I had a 4/3 and booties on those chilly foggy mornings, not that it was totally necessary, but just to stay comfortable and to stay out longer.

It's not a good idea. You'll sweat like a pig in it and without air access to your skin, you can easily overheat.

So...it's my first time to do kayak. Should I wear bathing suit underneath the wetsuit or would a shirt and some tight short okay? Your best bet is to go to the surf shop with your girlfriend. Wetsuits can be tricky to buy. You have to have one that fits right or they will not keep your girlfriend as warm as the wetsuit is designed to keep her. They are also non-returnable items, so you have to make sure you have one that fits her right. The employees at the surf shop will also be able to help you out in terms of finding the right suit that will keep her warm and is nice and flexible and comfortable. You will save a lot of time and money by going to the surf shop than trying to shop online. Good luck.

Does anyone know if wet n wild at universal studios in Orlando requires bathing suits only? Some water parks don't let you wear a tshirt and shorts. If not, what can I do to help cover up my fat? You are going to be really warm. I think most people socal do with a 4/3 for the winter along with like 3mm booties and maybe a hood. I was surfing in sept (2010) around north LA county (zuma to county line) and only used a 4/3 with booties if the air was cold as well. My friend who lived down there said that was about as cold as it got as well since it was just an unusually cold year. I think the water was bout 57 at the coldest. The main thing to mention about a 7mm diving suit is that it is going to be very cumbersome to surf in. That is a lot of extra fabric not designed for surfing and its going to make things like paddling much harder.

Blueseventy wetsuit :) My swim team swam an open water race, the temp was 40 degrees F, but I wasn't cold :) They are sometimes more expensive than other wetsuits, but they are great quality and last a really long time. Riding coat question?

I've competed at hunter jumper for years and always bought Dover jackets... I had a friend who is new to showing and she asked me if she could use a black suit jacket for shows. It almost if not identical to my show jacket if darted in on the sides. I never thought of a suit jacket because I took the plunge and bought a hunter/jumper jacket for showing. How far can an inexperienced kayaker paddle in a day?

My daughter is 13 and is new to kayaking. I'm also something of a novice but understand the risks and safety aspects of the sport. I was planning to take my daughter to lake Windermere in the UK and try and paddle the full length over 2 days if the conditions are good. We will have shortie wetsuits and bouyancy jackets as the water temp is about 9 c that time of year. We'll be using decent sit on top kayaks and will have dry bags with about 20kg of gear each. Am I asking too much of her as the lake is 11 miles long so 5.5 miles paddling per day. She's fairly strong and very healthy.

What is the best way to stop a rash vest from bunching up under a wetsuit?

Don't wear one is the best answer. It is not what they are designed for. They are made to protect you from Board rash, not be a wetsuit liner. In fact, they could offer minimal added warmth. I suspect that it might actually have the opposite effect. A 1 or 2 mil vest under your wet suit might help retain some heat in your trunk. I suspect that board shorts are probably the best answer to the second half of your question, although going Commando is the most common route. a Speedo might help avoid some wear and tear on the privates.

I recently bought my first wetsuit; a Blueseventy Axium, and i have no clue how to care and/or make the most of it. I am in my third season of triathlons and thought it best to invest in one. First off, how the heck do i get it on? ive read up on some wetsuit lube, but cant seem to find it anywhere, is it the same as these anti-chafing cream/ roll-on sticks? such as body glide...ive been looking into this "salclear trilube". what exactly does this do? is this what i need to easily slide into my suit? which is a good type to get? im not lazy, i just do not understand some of the things i read on google so dont hate! any help will be greatly appreciated:) thanks

So for the past few days ive seen my ex at school. When he walks past me, he looks down but out of the corner of his eyes he stares at me. Also when we were both in the library. Moving to Maine, planning on taking some lessons, but wondering what I should be looking for so I can tell what kind of shock to the wallet I'll be in for should I decide to stick with it. Why is he acting weirdly around me for a long time?

Hi, so I was really close to my best guy friend for two years and then when we both moved to upper school he has been acting differently and ignoring me a bit. We were really close and everything and we used to play fight, joke around and all that sort of stuff. How to fix a tare in a weatsuit?

ok so i have always been into snorkling and when i movied down south the first thing i got was a wetsuit (never used one before) ok so i am out snorkling and im not sure what made me do it but i decided to try and sit on top of one of the granite boulders coming out of the water and as i am doing it my but scrapes on some of the barnacles and now there is a small tear in my wetsuit about the size of a 10c peace. so how can i fix this? i looked on the internet and they all seemed to deal with gashes not a round tear. the tear dosnt go al the way through it went through most of it except a thin layer made out of that rashee material. so i dont think i can fold it put the glue in then squeeze it together...... any ideas?

Does my ex still have feelings for me?

So for the past few days ive seen my ex at school. When he walks past me, he looks down but out of the corner of his eyes he stares at me. Also when we were both in the library. He'd stare right at me from across the room. when i talked to my friends in front of me of where i was sitting, he'd be staring right at me.For most of the hour. yeah so basically a few weeks ago we moved into a condo. We do have neighbors on the top, and bottom floor. I don't think we have cracks or holes in the walls of our condos, but we do have air vents. so a few days later I wake up, my dad also wakes up, i walk into the kitchen, and all of a sudden I see this big, flat rounded bug dart from behind our stove, and run into the sink, and then it just stays there. So my dad sees the cockroach, and kills it then throws it out. Then a week later I see another one in the bathroom, just sitting their not moving. The next day I look in the bathroom, and it's gone. So another week later I'm watching TV, and I see another one darting behind the TV going to the kitchen. Now this one was a small one. When it went in the kitchen it ran into a crevice, and I never saw it again. But after that I never saw another one again. The only places in which I saw them were in the bathroom, and in the kitchen. Can somebody tell me why there weren't any in my room, and will there be more?

Seizure from Xanax withdrawals question?

You need to talk with your doctor asap. Xanax withdrawal can be difficult even with smaller doses, 22mg if alot. You can't do this by yourself. You'd have to wean off it daily in small increments and I don't know the regime. I've read that even rehab places have relapses, because xanax over time creates different neuro pathways in the brain and can take up to a year for the brain to relearn or return to previous state. Yes, you can have seizures or worse, end up in ICU and they will give you xanax because that's the treatment. If you have a legal Rx, do it the right way. Klonopin is a stonger benzo, which I take at 0.5 2x daily for tremors, unknown cause, but I want off of it and I will do it. The worst I ever did was stop Wellbutrin 300mg after 6 weeks, vomiting, insomnia, muscle pains, hot/cold sweats, ear ringing,enough to take prednisone, zantac, compazine/phenergan supp. Pain meds for muscle pains. It went on for a couple of weeks, but I'm glad I don't take it. didn't need it. It also made my hair thin/fall out. Call a legit rehab center, you won't make it without the meds. Esp if you do intend to stop them. They are one of the most difficult meds to stop. But I'm going to do it. They don't affect me much, I take xanax for sleep, then inc after the stupid wellbutrin to 3mg and then the tremors for unknown reason, to this day,almost a year, on klonopin.I do take for legit reasons, but don't want to. Don't call a poison center, just a rehab center if this is for recreational use or Rx medical use . Search xanax withdrawal. You'll see.

What can I do about neck rash/irritation from my wetsuit during a triathlon?

It just happens but I find that using either trislide (which also helps the suit to come off easily) or using body glide (an anti chafe) work great. Since it is on your neck I recommend the Body glide just rub some on (a good amount) and see how it goes. Good luck

Just bought some ninja darts & ninja stars and cannot wait to throw them. But all of the wood that i have available at the moment is too hard for them to penetrate when you throw them at it. Even just laying the piece of wood on the ground and dropping it from a height will not stick into it. Is there anything else i can use as a target to practice throwing? Pool safety for 15 month old?

I want to take my 15 month old swimming with me in a big pool so that I can get in with her (instead of just her kiddie pool). What is the best thing to help keep her safe? I have heard about swimsuits/wetsuits with flotation devices in them, and toddler lifejackets, but those start at around 2 years old. Am I hopelessly broken hearted?

When I was 17 years old, I met a guy named..let's call him Jay. Jay and I connected instantly. Within three months we got our first apartment together and were practically inseperable. I ended up going away for college and cried the entire trip and first week I was there. I ended up driving three hours one way EVERY weekend just to be near him for a day. But we were young, and I was insecure and thought he was cheating on me so we broke up. After a month of avoiding him calling and calling and calling (I was away at school) the calls suddenly stopped. It scared me to death, so I called him to see if he was okay or had gotten hurt. He was fine physically, but so depressed that he was moving across country (Literally east coast to west coast) to live with his dad. It felt like someone had stabbed me. It took me less than two heart beats to decide that I was going with him to wherever he was. So I packed my bags and we moved. Life was great. We were always smiling and laughing, we did so many amazing things...adventures I guess I consider them...and then, when I was 21 I found out I was pregnant. Everything went down hill from there as my attention turned away from him onto our child that I was carrying. And he became abusive. I tolerated the unusual negative behavior until our son was 4 months old, and I finally couldn't take it anymore, so i decided I was moving back to the east coast. There was never a discussion, if I went, he was going to go. So we moved, and life settled down. He actually really began to enjoy being a parent and I thought the worst was behind us...until we got pregnant AGAIN, less than 6 months after having our first son. The pattern of abusive behavior began again, and reckless behavior on his part...but not until I started to show that I was carrying a child. By the time our second son was two months old I called the police and had him arrested for one of the many abusive inciddents. And I knew that I had made the right choice. I was a single mother of two infants for almost a year, when I met my current husband. He had 6 children from a previous marriage so he enjoyed the babies. It took almost too much time and energy to blend our families, or even to form a deeply rooted bond between the two of us (even though he is an amazing man) and I just wrote it off to being so hurt by Jay. It's been over three years since I've seen Jay's face, heard his voice, even asked about him, but when I close my eyes at night it's his face that I dream about. I know that I should be scared of him, but honestly, after the anger wore off...the sense of abandonment, there's just been an enormous feeling of loss. When I allow myself to think about him it feels like someone is stabbing me right in the center of my stomach and I almost have to bend over from the pain. I just don't know where I go from here..I've moved on. I'm married to a wonderful, respectable man who brings out the best in me and loves and accepts my children. But I can't help feeling like I've lost everything...Am I absolutly hopeless? Are these feelings due to the abuse in the relationship? Or did we really have something more that we just weren't ready for?

I darted my period in October and have barley been able to fill a slender for most of my period but this time I am filling and leaking from regular witting 4 or 5 hours. How should I introduce my cat to the great outdoors?

After 4 years - he is going to come back. However, there are some things to consider before encouraging him to go out. Once he starts going out regularly he will get fleas and probably worms too. So at least once every summer you will have to buy special drops to put on the back of his neck. Often best to get these from the vet (supermarket ones are not usually strong enough, and they are poison so you don't want to repeat them too often). Once he starts going further afield he could get run over. Depending on where you live he may be in danger from the wild life. Throughout most of the UK cats can be attacked and killed by foxes. This doesn't mean cats shouldn't be allowed out, just that it is advisable to keep them in over night and to have a cat flap for them during the day. So give some thought first to whether you want him to roam free, or to just go out with you, or to stay indoors. It is difficult to get a cat who has roamed free to understand why he can't go out at all times, so best not to allow this if you are going to change your mind later.

Making plastic container boxes more airy for the clothes inside?

I have these plastic containers and have thrown clothes, shoes, wetsuits etc inside I tried drilling three holes in the lid to air it a bit and stop the clothes from going mouldy. Are these enough holes and is this the right thing to do to stop the clothes going bad?

Watersports in the summer?

Okay so in the summer i am going to be doing water sports for a week and I may have my period then. I have started to use tampons so i should be fine in the water...but i have a problem normally my period goes for two days and then i have a day of nothing and then another day and i have heard stories saying don't use a tampon if you are not on your period...however sometimes i might get a little bit of blood on the off day and if i am in the water..i should still be wearing a tampon right? Also if it leaks will people see it or is it not really noticable...my periods are moderate flow. I am worried they will leak especially with male instructors. If i am wearing a wetsuit will that help hide anything if it leaks? Also apart from the obvious if it leaks can you feel any digns...(not just see stuff if that happens)?...It is with my school so im sure loads o girls will be on theirs i am just really worried especially because we are sleeping in like gazebo type things and the bathrooms are not supposed to be very nice. Hi, so I was really close friends with this guy for 2 years and when we moved to upper school we sort of drifted apart. We have only drifted apart for 6 months and he is hanging round with all the popular people ( most are not nice). We used to talk all the time and we used to joke and play fight and tease eachother (nice way). I would be lucky to get a sentence a week of chat. Is it ok to clean a dart board soap and water?

It depends on who made the board. I would think that you would not want to soak the board but a damp cloth might be helpful. Test the cloth on a corner or other area that will not effect the board if the colors are not water safe. If any color is found on your cleaning cloth, the colors are not water safe and will discolor with cleaning.

Can I use a ski wetsuit for my first tri?

I am gonna be doing a olympic distance tri with a one mile open swim next month and my father in law gave me a ski wetsuit it seems alot bulkier then the tri wetsuits but I can't spend $200+ on something I'll use once.

This is stupid, clearly there are suits that can handle this stuff because people dive under the ice in the arctic. Though I am not sure where to go to get what they use, ocean rodeo has come up with a dry suit that is no thicker than a wetsuit for very cold water a href="http://oceanrodeo.com/surfing" rel="nofollow"http://oceanrodeo.com/surfing/a Ripcurl also makes a battery heated under shirt to go under your wetsuit so if you threw that in with a 7mm suit, and like 5 or 7mm gloves and booties I think you would be fine. Actually any 7mm suit with 5 or 7mm gloves would be fine. I would check out Patagonia suits, they are supposed to be the warmest. I think even their best suit is only rated down to 38 F but who knows maybe they would make a custom 7mm suite for you. This seems like a pretty weird bet. Besides what do you mean by last, is that with someone in the suit before they get cold? Cant stand the cold? Get hypothermia? Sounds like a lot of rich kids with too much money.

Please Help on Baby Stellar Jays?

It could be that some died and the parents were able to toss the bodies out (if they died shortly after you took the photo) whild they were still small. It also could be that a predator has eaten the others and may be back for the remaining two. Only time will tell. It seems they were probably not nearly big enough to fledge(leave the nest on their own) if they were that small and underdeveloped only a week before they were gone.

Did anyone experience breathlessness in" Open Water Swimming!!"?

take your inhaler before hand. one thing about swimming in open water that is extremely cold, is that your muscles tense up when you enter the water and it constricts your breathing..also, its very difficult to warm up which can affect your performance..and also obviously the cold can put your health at risk. i would suggest making sure you warm up significantly before you start the swim. do some active stretching, jog for 10 mins, stretch. then, proceed to your warm up in the water...go in the water, swim around for a few mins then get out..then once your body warms up again, go back in the water for a little longer than before..do this a few times total til your comfortable in the water and your muscles are warmed up. that should help with the shock of the cold water. another thing you can do to get used to the cold water is to do some more training in it. not everyone's body can handle the cold, and we all react a little differently..you just have to figure out how to become more comfortable and relaxed in the cold. good luck!

Would you consider my Zebra Danios to active for certain fish?

I have a 20 gallon aquarium at the moment with 3 zebra danios and 2 longfin danios. I have read repeatedly throughout the internet that zebra danios are to active for some fish. But mine don't seem like the constant dart-y swimmers some make them out to be. They swim at a moderate pace and sometimes get speedy when playing with each other. They have also been in a tank with cory cats before, and they payed the cory cats no mind. So, I was wondering, could my danios coexist with some timid and/or slower moving fish? Or is it just to risky?

you won't be able to get her hairstyle with the techniques you're using unless you naturally have curly or wavy hair but even then that's not the look the lead girl has. I did see alot of girls with curly hair that you could probably get but unless you have their hair you still wouldn't get that look. The main girl you would have to use a curling iron or rollers and then run your fingers threw them after they set or if you're looking for the tighter curls then you might need small curlers.

How do I take care of a baby blue jay?

Wear something you don't mind being seen in. Wetsuits can get very hot when out of the water so you may have to open up the front or even pull it down or off. You can even overheat in the water and have to open the front to let some cool water in.

I noticed hair coming out of my bathing suit last year when i went to the beach but it wasn't to noticeable. It wasn't the bikini line towards the top but like the bottom part of my va jay jay. Because it's raw. is cut the, shall i say, sturdy, skin and the layer of skin under the sterdy skin was not ready, so it's raw flesh. Watersports in the summer?

Okay so in the summer i am going to be doing water sports for a week and I may have my period then. I have started to use tampons so i should be fine in the water...but i have a problem normally my period goes for two days and then i have a day of nothing and then another day and i have heard stories saying don't use a tampon if you are not on your period...however sometimes i might get a little bit of blood on the off day and if i am in the water..i should still be wearing a tampon right? Well providing your wetsuit isnt too small for you, its really just practice to find a way that works well for you. The more you do it the easier it gets. I like to just get my feet through the bottom first usually using my hand as a kind of lever to get my foot through. After that its just pulling it up bit by bit.

Cat had a panic attack?

About an hour ago, my cat was quietly sitting in his bed but suddenly got up and began frantically running around the house and licking his chest and front paws. Wetsuit sizing question?

In shopping around for a wetsuit, I've often encountered the issue of size. On the size chart for the one I'm considering purchasing, the different sizes are broken down into measurements of chest, waist, hips and height. I'm 6'2" which puts me in the height range for an XXL, but all three of my other measurements are in (or below in one case) the ranges for a small. I need it to be long enough otherwise there's no point spending the money when I already have a shorty, but I also don't want it to be extremely loose and have flushing be an issue. I will have boots and gloves that could make up a small length discrepancy, so maybe go with a M or L to get a little length but still be pretty snug?

Would BB gun injure cat from 50 ft. away?

Ok, so I and my friend were shooting BB guns today. While we were shooting into a cluster of really tall weeds, my neighbor's cat darted out of the weeds and then sat down after he had reached a safe distance from where we were aiming. I would agree with Body Glove... My dad and I are both avid divers and their wetsuits are our favorites. Durable, comfortable, and reasonable in price. Also: make sure the wetsuit is snug. It won't do its job as effectively if it's too loose!

Is a long wetsuit a suitable choice for swimming in the sea and not surfing?

it all depends on the temperature of the sea and how big the drop is between winter and summer. Also some suits are far better than others and keep you alot warmer because of the quality and how further up the technical scale they are. Obviously the more money you spend the better suit your going to get, but i would advise getting something like an O'neill Psycho or a rip curl f-bomb. these are both excellent suits, and they also have thickher and thinner versions for if your in cold or warm waters. ask your local surf shop what thickness suit to get, and if they dont know, just get a 5mm. you can't really lose with that :) hope this helps
