Drysuit or wetsuit for sailing?

Most sailors I know use a drysuit. These are very expensive, from $400 and up (though you can sometimes get a better deal on Ebay on a used one.) You should really talk to the instructor before buying anything though. In fact, many sailing schools rent drysuits to students.
