Using a Patagonia wetsuit for scuba diving?

I like how eco friendly the Patagonia suits are, but am concerned how well it holds up and does it keep you warm? In other words if I guy a 5mil Patagonia suit, will it squish down after a few dives and no longer give me the insulation I need. If you are a diver and own one of these suits, let me know what you think.
